A family legacy in metal.

Community Impact and Legacy
Community and Non-Profit

We believe that it's as important to be involved in the local community as it is to make a quality product. To that end, Allenson Armory helps to sponsor several yearly events in the White Mountains as well as supporting several charitable organizations.  We're also active on social media in many groups, both enjoying the camaraderie of the bladesmithing community and also trying to educate and support them, in turn.

Starting in 2018, Allenson Armory is conducting an annual "Bladesgiving Giveaway" to help sponsor and encourage those getting into one of the smithing trades. The 2018 giveaway was several hundred dollars worth of books and DVDs split between Billy of IL and Chris of CT, surnames withheld for privacy reasons.
In addition to the local events there are several charitable organizations we support on both a local, state, and national scale. We encourage you to look into them as well, perhaps choosing to support them in some way as we have.

The mission of MMHAF, as stated on their own website, is: "...to provide scholarships funds for local students of the rural White Mountains of Arizona who have demonstrated exceptional talent, passion, commitment to and/or excellence in the study of medieval and Renaissance era history, writing and/or arts..." They are also an AmazonSmile recipient, of which several members of the Allenson Armory family have chosen as their charity of choice.

Established in 1970, their mission to rescue and help homeless animals, especially in our community. Take from their website: "Unfortunately, the beauty of our natural forests compel many irresponsible acts. Pets are often abandoned in the forests by people who truly believe that these domesticated puppies and kittens, dogs and cats will revert back to the wild and learn to fend for themselves. Sadly... they do not."

They are a private non-profit supported through charitable giving and the 'Doghouse Thrift Store' in Lakeside, Az.

The RESCU Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to promote and maintain the health and medical well-being of the participants of Renaissance Faires, historical performances and other artistic events through financial assistance, advocacy, education and preventative programs. For 12 years, the RESCU Foundation has offered direct financial assistance and medical advocacy to festival participants. RESCU serves all participants nationwide - what show or what type of position held is never a variable for eligibility. They are supported through donations and the sales of music CDs and support memorabilia.

"K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to our Warriors suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post-9/11." As we have family and friends with TBIs and/or PTSD, this is a personally important issue to support.

They are supported by charitable donations and a merchandise shop.
